Courses for parents / carers

123 Magic 

Specifically created for families with children aged 2 to 12 by Thomas W. Phelan PhD, this course will guide you through step by step with support from our team and one another. 

Forthcoming courses are advertised in the latest newsletter on Facebook and on the diary below. These are all daytime courses, usually over three sessions. The first week is usually 9.30am to 2.30pm with the second and third weeks being from 9.30am to 11.30am.

Please note that we do, from time to time run evening courses at our centre, which are from 7pm to 9pm over four weeks. Again, we'll post details of any evening courses here and they'll also appear in our newsletter.

Parenting Challenging Teens

This course is geared towards families with young people aged 13 plus. Again, you'll be guided through step by step with support from our team and one another. Each course usually takes place over four daytime sessions (9.30am to 2.30pm on the first week and 10.00am to midday on subsequent weeks), with one additional session for the young people themselves (which will be during a half term break)

NEW COURSE

ADULT GET A GRIP- How to take control of your life

Do you have some of those fustrating ADHD traits that hold you back, make it difficult to run your home, manage your kids, hold down a job or manage your money?

Do you have problems with relationships? Would you like help with planning organisation and time management? 

If your 19-90 this is the course for you.

This Course starts the last week in Febuary please phone the centre for details 0116 261 0711and registration.

Parent ADHD Awareness session

This is a one-off session during the evening for parents and carers at our centre.

We'll post details of the date for this course once it's confirmed. 

Parent Volunteer Training

We run a 6 week course for parents / carers who would like to work as volunteers for ADHD Solutions. There are lots of opportunities to participate e.g.helping out with the day-to-day running of the centre, support to run the Youth Club, helping out on trips, at the Christmas Party, during our summer activities, supporting the team to deliver behaviour management courses (see above) and lots more.

This course has Level 2 accreditation and includes a CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) check for ADHD Solutions CIC.
